Little Critter: It's True and You Go First Review and Giveaway #sponsored #giveaway #tommynelsonkids

Posted by Debra Ann Elliott at 8:22 AM
Disclosure: I'm a Tommy Mommy and received books in exchange for this review. However, all opinions are my own.

My grandson loves Little Critters. He loves their antics. Little Critters have been around since 1975 and have withstood the test of time. My grown children grew up on the delightful books written by Mercer Mayer and now my grandson get's to enjoy the series of wonderfully creative books.

When he opened the package I received this month from Tommy Nelson Kids his eyes lit up when he saw 'You Go First' and 'It's True'. He couldn't wait to read them. Both books are geared toward kids 2-7, but kids of all ages will love the inspiring books.

*This bestselling brand is now available with a  faith-inspired message!
*In It's True, kids will learn that telling a partial truth is much different than telling the whole truth
*In You Go First, kids will learn to treat others the way they want to be treated

Description

The first book in the new Inspired Kids line featuring the famous Little Critter!
Since 1975, Mercer Mayer has been writing and illustrating stories about Little Critter® and the antics he stumbles into while growing up. Thomas Nelson is thrilled to bring this beloved brand to the Christian market with the launch of Inspired Kids, a new line of faith-based books featuring Little Critter.
In You Go First, Litter Critter loves being first—even if it hurts his family and friends. After several missteps, Little Critter learns that the secret to getting along is treating others the way he wants to be treated—which, in Little Critter’s case, means letting someone else be first.

Description

Join Little Critter® as he learns why it’s important to tell the whole truth—and not just part of it.
Since 1975, Mercer Mayer has been writing and illustrating stories about a little ball of fur named Little Critter and the antics he stumbles into while growing up. Thomas Nelson is thrilled to bring this beloved brand to the Christian market with the launch of Inspired Kids, a new line of faith-based books featuring Little Critter.
Little Critter thinks that sometimes it’s easier to tell part of the truth instead of the whole truth. In this second book in the Inspired Kids line, Little Critter learns quickly that lying has consequences and that telling the truth, no matter how hard, is always the right thing to do.
Both books retail for $9.99 each and are available here and here. You can also win the set by entering on the Rafflecopter below.

Yes, we have some books by Debby Anderson that we really like. Her drawings are adorable and she uses scripture throughout her stories. This Little Critter book looks wonderful!

I have used books that have animals in them, but not one that specifically centers around it. My son loves the Little Critter series, so this book would be a favorite of his.

My boys love the bible stories of Daniel in the Lions Den and Elijah being brought food by the ravens. They also like looking at animal fact books and they enjoy reading about Gods marvelous creation of animals

I like Veggie Tales, however I know those are vegetables. Currently my twins do not talk yet, however I WILL use animals to tell them about Noah's Ark and how God has taught us to love and treat animals nice, too. : )
