Shutterfly Valentine's Day Gifts and Giveaway

Posted by Debra Ann Elliott at 1:19 AM 12 comments

I can't believe Valentine's Day is only a few weeks away! If you're kids are like my grandson they can't wait. And if they're like my grandson their tired of the same boring Valentine's cards. Well, why not try something new and different!

My family loves Valentine's Day and loves the idea of exchanging photo cards and gifts. Shutterfly is making Valentine's Day a lot easier with photo Valentine's cards. It's great to add a little personalization to Valentine's Day. It's become a new family Valentine's Day tradition and we create new memories as well.

Shutterfly offers a variety of Photo Gifts for Valentine’s Day.  Some of my favorite include the Desktop Plaque. It's available in different sizes.

Another favorite is the Photo Mug. I love this keepsake.

Disclosure: I received 50 – 4x5 Stationery Cards and 1 - 5.5x5.5 Desktop Plaque for this review. All opinions expressed in this post are my own.

20 Mule Team Borax Review, Giveaway and Special Contest

Posted by Debra Ann Elliott at 7:10 AM 14 comments

I love 20 Mule Team Borax! As a product of the sixties, 20 Mule Team Borax was all my mom used with her laundry. I can remember watching the T.V show Death Valley Days and waiting for the 20 Mule Team Borax commercials.

Now that I am a mom I can rely on 20 Mule Team Borax Laundry Booster to boost my detergent. It a great additive, especially if you're prone to hard water stains. It's great for most every cleaning chore. I not only use it in my laundry, but to clean my toilets. I'm plagued with hard water, so 20 Mule Team Borax is the perfect solution for me and the perfect stain remover. Did you know over 85% of households have hard water?

I'll tell you another secret, 20 Mule Team Borax is also a great way to prevent roaches.

Right now you can enter The Borax - Fresh Year, Fresher Laundry Facebook Sweepstakes. You could win the $1,500 Grand Prize, or one of 171 coupons for FREE BORAX! Contest ends 1/22

Disclosure: Borax provided a free sample of their product so I could review them. However, all of the opinions expressed here are my own.

TriCalm Review and Giveaway

Posted by Debra Ann Elliott at 5:30 AM 15 comments
My grandson Cameron is autistic and doesn't like anything touching his skin, so it's difficult to find an anti-itch cream or gel he will let me use when he has the need to scratch. When I got the opportunity from Moms Meet to test and review TriCalm, I jumped at the chance. I'm always open for trying new products in the hope Cameron will let me use it on his skin.

Cameron has sensitive skin and suffers from a lot of rashes(heat mostly), but he also has a tendency to get into poison ivy and oak a lot. I've tried other anti-itch relief products but either they didn't work, were too messy, or Cameron just wouldn't let me get near him.

When my tube of TriCalm arrived I wasn't sure how Cameron would react. I wasn't sure if this anti-itch gel would be a hit in my house. Of course the day it came he had gotten into poison oak, so I got my chance. Cameron protested until I put a little of the TriCalm gel on my fingers to show him it was clear(he has a thing about white creams). Anyway, Cameron let me apply TriCalm and in a matter of minutes he stopped itching and most of the redness disappeared. We had a hit!

What I love most about TriCalm is my grandson will let me use it on him when needed, but not only is that a plus, but TriCalm is a steroid-free anti-itch gel. TriCalm works on contact to help alleviate discomfort associated with minor skin irritations. TriCalm offers powerful relief from itching, burning and stinging caused by rashes, hives, sunburn, allergic reactions, bug bites, poison ivy and other skin ailments.

More about TriCalm:

  • TriCalm’s formula contains COSMEDERM-7, a compound of strontium, a naturally occurring element found in leafy green vegetables.
  • TriCalm is safe to use daily on kids and adults and is FDA-approved
  • TriCalm is non-numbing, and works on contact to provide rapid itch relief from bug bites, rashes, sunburns, poison oak/ivy, and more. It may also help relief dry skin and eczema-related symptoms.
  • TriCalm does not increase sensitivity to UV rays, so its safe to use while spending time in the sun.
  • TriCalm retails for $9.49 for a 2-ounce tube.

I would recommend TriClam because not only does it work, but it steroid free and if you do have a child with special needs like Cameron, then TriCalm is your best best when it comes to anti-itch gel.

Be sure to check out TriCalm on FB and Twitter.
