Dover Educational Book Series Review

Posted by Debra Gray-Elliott at 4:29 PM 0 comments
Disclosure: This is a paid review. However, all opinions are my own.

If you're like me, you're concerned about good quality learning materials for your school-age child. With Dover Educational Book Series you and your child won't have to worry. My 10 year old and I got the opportunity to try two of Dover's educational books and I have to say we were very pleased not only with the quality but the content.

We received two books in the series: BOOST: My First Human Body" and Table Top Scientist: "The Science of Water".

BOOST™: Specially designed for specific grade levels, the Boost series features a wide variety of entertaining and educational books for children. Plus, each title comes with a free Teacher's Manual. Each manual is filled with engaging reading, speaking, listening, and language lessons.

"My First Human Body" is actually a coloring book that uses Common Core Standards. This book is for grades 1-2, but because my grandson is in special ed. this coloring book was the perfect solution to teach him about the human body during Spring Break. The pictures are very detailed as well as the descriptions. Each part of the human body was easy for my grandson to grasp without asking a lot of questions. I loved the aspect of him being able to color the different body parts. Of course he loved coloring everything RED!

"My First Human Body" is available at Dover Publication is soft copy or e-book and a free teacher's manual is available as well.

Table Top Scientist: Encourage young minds to explore the principles of science with this captivating book series of experiments for water, light, air and sound. Simple demonstrations and complete photographs illustrate how to topics. "Try It and See" sidebars suggest further exploration and "How It Works" panels explain scientific ideas.

"The Science of Water" makes experiments FUN! All I can say is I couldn't get my grandson away from the water. From the time he was little he loved to play in the water, but now that he's older he can fully understand the science of water. This book is filled with experiments, projects, and fascinating facts. This one is for grades 5-8. It's not complicated as I thought it might be, my grandson understood the concepts and enjoyed all the neat fun experiments and projects. My kitchen will never be the same and my grandson will never look at H2O the same way!

This fun book is only $6.99 and can be purchased at Dover Publications.

Whether you have a school-age child or want to give them a head start, be sure to check out Dover Educational Books!

My grandson has always been fascinated with how things work, but now he actually loves science thanks to Dover Publications
