FutureFood 2050- #sponsored #futurefood2050
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post and contains hyperlinks. However, all opinions are my own.
As a parent, I'm concerned about what my family eats. With so many different food products available on the market, sometimes mom's are clueless when it comes to what in the heck are our families really eating!
The folks at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) have been dedicated to advancing the science of food since 1939. Their non-profit scientific society—with more than 18,000 members from more than 100 countries—brings together food scientists, technologists and related professionals from academia, government and industry.
Be sure to check FutureFood2050 out and sign up at www.futurefood2050.com to follow the stories and connect science to the conversation on how to feed the planet. As a parent, it's one of the best decisions you can make for your family.

Spring IFT launched FutureFood
2050 —a multi-year program highlighting the people
and stories leading the efforts for a healthier, safer and better
nourished planet that’s needed to feed 9 billion+ people by 2050.
IFT continues to roll out interviews with the world’s
most impactful leaders
in food and science, and next year watch for FutureFood 2050, the
documentary film.
I
had a chance to stop by the new website and check out some very
interesting articles. As a concerned parent, I want to know what my
family is eating and what changes are being made to ensure my
family's safety.
One
of my biggest concerns is food safety. With so many different
food-borne illnesses, it's scary to think my family could get sick
from eating a hamburger or a piece of fried chicken. Consumer
activist Caroline Smith DeWaal has devoted her life for nearly twenty
years to insure the safety of consumers. She has dedicated her
career to fighting food-borne illnesses by documenting them and
advocating for faster and stricter reporting standards. DeWaal is changing the horizon regarding how food is processed. Although, it is an ongoing process and much work needs to be done before no food-borne illnesses exist, DeWall is making a difference one small step at a time. To read her story click here.
